How can I find out more?

There will be a public meeting held soon at the Kelvingrove building for current and prospective parents to find out more about the planned Kelvingrove Church School. You can register your interest and be kept up to date by completing this form.

Will the pupils be affected?

Both the The Tron Church and the Melville-Knox Board are committed to prioritising excellent pupil wellbeing, and will ensure the transition causes minimum disruption. Pupils currently attending the Kelvingrove location will be given the opportunity to enrol at the new school, should they so wish.  

My children currently attend the Melville-Knox Kelvingrove campus. What does this mean for us? 

Current parents at Melville-Knox have the choice as to whether they keep sending their child/children to Melville-Knox or whether they enrol their child/children at the new Kelvingrove Church School. We will invite current parents of children at Melville-Knox Kelvingrove campus to a public meeting where we will set out our vision for the new school and details of the transition.

Will the volunteers be affected?

The dedication of the volunteers at Melville-Knox is second to none. Volunteers will be invited to remain in their current locations, but of course, will be given the option to choose where they want to serve. Asides from PVG paperwork, very little change is anticipated for the volunteers. 

I’m a Tron Church member who has been giving to Melville-Knox. Will my contribution be reassigned to Kelvingrove Christian School? 

All money given to Melville-Knox Christian School Glasgow will remain an asset of that charity. The Tron Church will not seek to recoup any money from Melville-Knox. We are delighted to have partnered with Melville-Knox during this time; strategically, logistically and financially. The new Kelvingrove Church School will establish its own financial and fundraising strategy, all designed to ensure maximum sustainability for the school. 

I’m a Tron Church member who gives regularly to The Epaphras Trust. Will my giving be spent on the new school? 

No. Whilst Kelvingrove Church School finances will be backed and managed by the Epaphras Trust, the regular giving of The Tron Church members will continue to sit within an account specifically ring-fenced for church activity. 

I’m a Tron Church parent. Do I have to send my child/children to the new school? 

No. Whilst the The Tron Church are deeply committed to and passionate about Christian education and providing this new facility, there is no obligation for The Tron Church members to send their children to the school. The The Tron Church appreciates the right of parents to wisely decide how best to educate their children, but are delighted to be able to provide parents with what we hope will be an excellent option.
